SAN JOSE, Calif., PalmSource Mobile Summit and DevCon, May 24, 2005 — MotionApps today announced mVoice 3.0 for Palm Powered™ Treo™ smartphones from palmOne, Inc. mVoice is a Treo–centric application which, through the inclusion of a new API, allows for seamless integration of recording and playback features with other third party applications. Users can now record and play sound files, organize them into categories, share them with friends and colleagues and, thus, provide for a complete recording/playback solution for both the consumer and enterprise user.

As a standalone application, mVoice is an ideal solution for taking quick voice notes on the Treo with optimal balance between sound quality and the size of the recording. mVoice enables users to record and play sound files, append existing recordings, organize them into categories and more. Beaming recordings over infrared or sending recordings by e–mail or over Bluetooth is easily accessible with a couple of taps on the screen.

Sounds are recorded in a highly compressed audio format compatible with most platforms and operating systems. In addition, by using the new mVoice PalmSource™ HotSync® conduit transferring recordings to the desktop is now fast, simple, and easy. Voice recording is as easy as taking short text memos with built–in support for saving to SD cards, one–button recording, and support for five–way navigation on a Treo.

With the integration possibilities offered by the new API, mVoice is positioned to contribute to improved application development for Palm Powered devices, eventually leading to a wider range of feature offerings for Treo users.
