PalmSource Names Jeanne Seeley CFO

Industry veteran brings 30 years financial management experience to Company

SUNNYVAYE, Calif. Feb. 28, 2005 — PalmSource, Inc. (NASDAQ: PSRC) provider of Palm OS®, a leading operating system powering next generation phones and mobile devices, today announced it has named Jeanne Seeley the Company's chief financial officer. Seeley reports to David Nagel, PalmSource's chief executive officer, and is responsible for finance, accounting and investor relations.

Seeley, 53, is the former CFO and senior vice president for Snap Appliances, a provider of network attached storage and solutions for the workgroup. While with Snap Appliances, she led the company's spin out from Quantum Corporation and subsequent IPO registration. Prior to Snap Appliances, Seeley was CFO and vice president of Quantum DSS, a storage and storage software company. At Quantum DSS, she was a key member of the team that developed the company's transformation strategy to a global storage solutions company. Seeley was also with Apple Computer for 16 years where she served as vice–president of finance, Corporate Controller and chief accounting officer. Seeley was responsible for global financial operations including: controllership, worldwide planning and forecasting, manufacturing, R&D, sales, marketing and distribution. Before serving as Corporate Controller, Seeley held a variety of financial management positions.

Seeley holds degrees in history and education from California State University, with graduate studies in education. She is a board member with the Foothill–DeAnza Community College District.
