Beret Applications adds fraction arithmetic to of its series innovative classroom applications

SAN JOSE, Calif. February 10, 2004 — At the PalmSource Developer Conference today, Beret Applications announced "Fraction Math Time" software for Palm Powered™ devices. "Fraction Math Time" offers an innovative combination of classroom practice and game play techniques for elementary school teachers and parents helping kids learn basic fraction skills.

By leveraging the Palm OS® platform's easy-to-use and intuitive user interface, "Fraction Math Time" provides users an interactive solution for elementary students practicing fraction skills. Teachers no longer need to waste time preparing and grading work sheets or quizzes, and students can use "Fraction Math Time" to practice and reinforce new concepts in fraction arithmetic. Students progress at their own level while still being able to interact with other students through fun games that strengthen their fraction skills.

Like Beret's previous application, 'Herbert's Math Time', 'Fraction Math Time' provides students with a work area to keep track of intermediate results as they solve fraction problems. Teachers and parents can also use the "Quiz" mode to assess the student's progress. Practice is made even more fun when students play the application's arcade-style games.
