Bughuntress.com launches BugHuntress for Palm Powered Mobile Devices at PalmSource European Conference

Bughuntress.com has developed BugHuntress - automated tool for regression and functional testing of Palm OS applications, with a mission to fulfill a lack of automated testing solutions for development of Palm OS-based software.

Munich, Germany, September 22nd, 2003 - At the PalmSource European Conference, Bughuntress.com today announced the new BugHuntress software solution for Palm Powered™ handhelds and smartphones. BugHuntress enables users to perform automated regression and functional testing of Palm OS applications for mobile devices without additional hardware. Palm OS is known for the power and flexibility of its sophisticated, easy-to-use interface. As the foundation for more than 29 million mobile devices, the Palm OS platform provides an open and modular architecture.

BugHuntress is designed to provide software developers with tools to reduce time-to-market by decreasing the expense of fixing new and "returned" bugs through early detection.

BugHuntress consists of two parts: a Palm OS application and a PC part. The main functionality of Palm OS part lies in recording and replaying the sequence of operations - scripts. PC part provides an ability to save, edit and rule the replaying of recorded scripts. BugHuntress allows users to work both with the real device, connected to PC within serial and USB ports or TCP-IP, and it's emulator. No additional hardware devices are required. Test Suite can work with applications for Palm OS versions 3.0 - 4.1.
